I promise that the new posts awesome. Go here to read the first one.

Magnetize New Business, Part Four

Time to wrap up this 4-part series which I've written to help you stop the struggle and increase your effectiveness, efficiency and ultimately, your results. And, because tomorrow is my birthday AND I'm a giver, I've got a free gift for you, too! And in return, I request that you do something for me {like I said, it's my birthday} ... First, though, let me give first and share with you Keys 7 and 8:

Key #7: Double Your Self-Confidence. I've said this a few different ways throughout this series: Happy people ... Attractive people ... Ultimately, magnetism and attractiveness comes down to how much you like yourself. The more you like yourself, dare I say love yourself {and I do}, the more others will like you, too. I'm not talking conceit or arrogance. I believe those two characteristics are symptomatic of an insecure person. In fact, when I see someone throw a fit or become incredibly irritated, those to me are indicators that person isn't happy with themselves. I recently said to my friend, Hal Elrod, "I really want you to be happy." His response was incredibly telling, "I'm always happy." That is my experience of him, and his words were true. He really is always happy. He's happy because he has done the work to keep his self-confidence and self-esteem high, and it is apparent to all those who come into contact with him. Your ability to be happy in the face of unhappy and challenging circumstances is in direct proportion to your self-confidence. The more you work on yourself, the happier and more magnetic you will be. The work is free, the results are priceless. Worth it? I'd say so! I've done a fair amount of work in this area myself, and it all started with this book {which I highly recommend you read, re-read, and re-read until you've met your maker}. The Self-Confidence Formula from the book is one place I'm directing you, because it will work like a charm ... and so will you!

Key #8: Be authentic. It is counterintuitive to be authentic with others, and yet, when we open ourselves up and show our deepest desires and fears to others, we become more human. In fact, the more authentic you are ... the more comfortable you are in your own skin and show it, the enticing you will be to others. We're taught to keep our troubles and our big goals to ourselves, and I'm in no way suggesting you go completely open kimono and tell everyone all of your problems or your goals {there's a time and a place ... let common sense be your guide}, but it's okay now and then to say, "I'm having a rough time" and in the right space and time, with the right person, you will endear yourself to them in a way like no other. On the flip side, sharing what you're most excited about: such as a big win or a BHAG {you'll find more about those in here} you're working on, will cause the person you're talking to to also get excited! Ultimately, you're looking to connect in the best way possible. I will leave you with this thought:

You can't do the wrong thing with the right person; and you can't do the right thing with the wrong person. {Tweet this!

So, be authentically yourself and the right people will think you're the fa-shizzle.
Whew! What a series! By now you should should be feeling amazing, attracting new business and growing more prosperous and profitable by the way. Good for you! I'm delighted to think it's true, and would be ever happier to hear about your results... Send me an email and let me know how this series has helped you: Honoree {at} coachhonoree {dot} com.

Magnetize New Business, Part Three

I hope it's YOU that's up! This is the third installment of my "Magnetize More Business" series, and if you're implementing my suggestions, your wallet should be feeling a little thicker these days. Buy yourself a little something nice for all your hard work, and then settle in for next-level magnetism ...

In Part 1 and Part 2 of this 4-part series, I've discussed four keys for becoming irresistible to new clients and customers. These next two are force multipliers, meaning, they will accelerate your magnetism. Are you ready?

Magnetize New Business, Part Two

{Via}

In Part 1 of this 4-part series, I discussed two keys for becoming irresistible to new clients and customers. You can struggle to be successful, and feel like you're pushing a heavy boulder up hill, but why? It takes just a few key shifts to up your approachability factor and easily and effortlessly attract new business. If you prefer the latter, keep reading:

Magnetize New Business, Part One

{Via}

I witness a lot of people trying to "make business happen," all the while struggling and striving, when they could be attracting and thriving. You see, it is possible to force people to do business with you, to bully them into submission, to give you a yes to shut you up when they really want to say "No!" and run the other direction.
But why on Earth would you want to do that? I know you wouldn't! You most likely want to work with, and serve, the exact right people at the exact right time, effortlessly exceeding your goals, achieving the mega-success you dream about, and {you know I can't resist!} turn your Vision to Reality! While I'm a believer in the Law of Attraction, I also believe, "As you pray, move your feet." In other words, with intention must come action. I know from experience there are actions you can take to magnify your desired positive results.
That's why I'm doing this 4-part series on Magnetizing New Business. For the next few posts, I'm going to share with you 8 keys to becoming irresistible to new business. Short of sending you to a charm-school intensive, these are the top tried-and-true methods for upping your approachability aptitude and magnetizing new business.

Make 2015 Your Best Year Yet!

***After you read this post, be sure to visit me at my new home here.***

Wait, what?!

It's still August, Coach! 2015 is like, forever from now. Well, it is and it isn't.

I'm sure you're wondering why I'm attempting to focus you on next year already. There are several reasons:

1. Next year, the ever-delicious sounding 2015, is only 135 days away. That's just one STMA 100-Day Plan and a couple of holidays away from right now.
2. Based on my conversations with a few people {non-clients, of course}, 2014 came with high hopes and big plans ... yet it hasn't turned out the way some of you were hoping it would.
3. The best way to maximize any day, week, month or year is to make a vision for it first, and then a plan.
4. Once you have your plan, the best time to start was at the beginning of 2014 ... the next best time is today. Said another way, when you start working on 2015 today, you'll be well into momentum and had a giant leap of a head start on your competition.

Now that I've gotten all of that out of the way, I'm sure you've jumped ahead and you're wondering what I would recommend you do next? Well it's so nice of you to ask!

How to Rock Your Email

{VIA}

***After you read this post, be sure to visit me at my new home here.***

I've already talked about how to have an empty inbox all. the. time.

I want to help you be an email rock star, i.e., be less stressed about your email, all while handling it in a way that makes you look like a super star.

#1 Respond in a timely fashion.
I hate having email in my inbox. I loosely use strategies from GTD to stay on top of tasks, and for email I have a folder I've simply named @Action. The @ sign puts it at the top of my Inbox, and I can "file" emails in there I want to get to, emails that will take more than 2 minutes to deal with, at the time I've scheduled to work on emails (i.e., schedule time daily to respond to and deal with emails).

The 7 Magic Steps of Achievement

{VIA}

***After you read this post, be sure to visit me at my new home here.***

In order to achieve anything, you absolutely must have your ducks in a row. There are simple yet not-so-easy steps that can accelerate you on your quest for achievement. In fact, when you "have your act together" you can by-pass all of the folks who are showing up without a plan, hoping for success, all while living mostly in reaction. By taking a strategic, intentional and proactive approach to success, you'll achieve your outcomes faster, easier and with less stress.

1. Set clear long-term and short-term goals and commit 100%. Make sure that you're motivated by, and committed to, the goals you've set for yourself. This will help ensure you're willing to take the necessary steps to reach those goals successfully.

The 4 Key Cornerstones of Successful and Happy People

{Via}

***After you read this post, be sure to visit me at my new home here.***

There are the four key cornerstones of a successful and happy person: talent, character, attitude, and skills. With one exception, the skills piece, each of the other three centers around what you've been given naturally, what you choose to do, and who you choose to be. It's these three that require undivided focus and attention, lest we work hard to create something only to have it come undone because of our personality and personal choices.

Talent. A natural aptitude for what you do means you'll be good at it, and you'll really like to do it. In fact, the more you like to do something, the more you do it and the better you get at it. This is both for things you like to do, and for things you don't care to do. Just because you can do something, doesn't mean you want to do it or like to do it. A skill is actually an ability to perform a task. Having natural talent for something means you have an almost instinctive and intuitive ability to do something, and we can all agree the things that come easiest to us are the things we most enjoy doing.

5 Strategies for Finding Success in the Face of Failure

Face Your Failures and Find Success Instead

***After you read this post, be sure to visit me at my new home here.***

Just when you think the way has cleared for a smooth ride, challenges come up just to keep life and business interesting. How do you find success in the face of setbacks? How do you keep a great attitude and set yourself up to win?

It's quite simple, actually: you follow a simple set of strategies that make all the difference.

Strategy #1: The minute you decide to stay in the game, you're in the top 10%. About 90% of people simply give up, so by re-committing to your desired outcome, you're already way ahead. Review your vision and goals, make a list of the top 3 next-best actions you can take and either do them right now, or pull out your calendar and schedule a time to do them.

Strategy #2: Surround yourself with winners. Your associates determine your success, so choose wisely who you have around you. Find your PLUs {Your "People Like Us -- more about that in here} and schedule regular conversations, meetings and brainstorming sessions with them.

Strategy #3: Make your self-talk superb. Create a personal mantra, like, "I can do this!" or "I am unstoppable!" and use it to keep your mind right. Learn how to craft powerful affirmations, and do the other 5 daily actions that can re-engineer your circumstances and make you an unstoppable success in this book.

Strategy #4: Mistakes are invaluable, so learn from them. Super-achievers know they will either (a) do well in something they undertake or (b) learn some valuable lessons. Most successful people actually "fail their way to success." If you've failed recently or even semi-recently, capture the lessons in writing you've learned so you don't have to repeat them.

Strategy #5: Don't marinate in your failure. A quick recovery is key to upward mobility. The longer you spend feeling sorry for yourself, wallowing or whining, the longer it will take for you to regain your momentum and seize your success. Just like in prize-fighting, you've got exactly ten seconds to get up and if you don't, you've lost the fight. Decide that no matter what knocks you down, it won't keep you down.

When life hands you a lemon, make lemonade or lemon mousse! You decide to be a winner and let the best you shine through.

Never Be Late Again!

4 Ways to Ensure You'll Be On Time From Now Until Forever

***After you read this post, be sure to visit me at my new home here.***

If you've ever been told, "You'll be late for your own funeral," being late might be a chronic problem standing in the way of your success. Arriving "just in time" or a few minutes late means you're out of breath and unnecessarily stressed.

Being late says "I value my time and myself more than I value you." Even if that's not what you're trying to say. Even if you're a hot disorganized mess and being late has absolutely nothing to do with the person cooling their heels waiting for you.

Would you love to solve the problem of being late, and turn yourself into a person who is on time? Would you like to stop apologizing for being late, and turn into the person who has a few moments to check email or return a call in your car before heading into that meeting? I can assure you that allowing plenty of time to arrive at meetings, networking lunches, and other important events will reduce your stress to almost zero. You're going to love the feeling you have when you sail into your next meeting with ten minutes to spare!

Are you ready for your time makeover? Okay, fabulous ... let's begin!

Fast Results Start Here!

There is a whole lot of moving going on! New companies, new cities, new opportunities. I'm hearing about about lots of "newness" and getting questions about how to navigate the changes and opportunities. Even if you're not in a job place, job or company, the actions that yield results remain the same.
  • Clarity is power. Develop a clear long-term vision and follow with a short-term vision. Your short term vision is then broken down into 3-5 solid goals. These goals become your daily focus.
  • Develop a solid plan based on your goals. Break down your goals into daily action steps.
  • Get organized. Be ready to capitalize on opportunities when they show up. This means having your office, or mobile office, ready.
  • Get moving! New or not, there are lots of people you don't know who need your product or service. (Hint: They won't come knocking on your office door.) Get out of your office, meet people and ask those people who else you need to know. The more people you meet, the better the chances you have of making those critical early connections that will make all the difference over time.
  • Start here: Make a master list of your current connections. The best connections are people who are Centers of Influence. Ask for their help. Every person you know has more than 2,000 relationships. Ask for referrals of great folks, not just people who could hire you or use your products or services. They can be amazing people who you would be pleased to know for any number of reasons.
  • Then continue here: 1. Business Journal events, 2. Your local Chamber of Commerce, 3. Networking Clubs (Executives Associations, Business Forums, BNI), 4. Civic Organizations (Rotary, Kiwanis, Lion's Club), 5. Your trade association, 6. Your best client's trade association, 7. Cultural events, 8. Charitable or Community Service organizations and volunteering, 9. Private Clubs, 10. Health Clubs, 11. Sporting Events., 12. Hobbies & their events/associations, 13. "Own" a restaurant (or several).
  • Join two organizations: one for community service, the other career enhancement. Use your expertise to contribute to the organization, in other words: get involved. Join at least one committee and be a leader in the organization.
  • Stay focused. Review your goals at least daily and make sure you're making measurable progress towards your goals every day. If (when!) you get off track, re-set, re-focus and get moving!
Your results are up to you, and you can create the results you desire.

You've heard it time and time again: have a positive mental attitude. No-one, and I mean no-one wants to hear your tales of woe. Right? Maybe.

"One of These Days ..."

THE STORY OF SUCCESS MADE EASY

Honoree's Note: I've known and admired Ron Martin, one of my mentors, for over a decade. We met while I was living in Hawaii. Ron is one of those people who lives an authentic, no-holds-barred, making-it-happen kind of life. If you've ever said to yourself, "I'm going to do it 'one of these days' this post is a must-read for you!

It was a lazy Saturday afternoon out at my beach house in Haleiwa, Hawaii. I was sitting on the lanai “talking story” with my client, the famed artist, Wyland. He said, “So Ron, when are you going to write a book?” My response was, “One of these days.” Wyland said, “Have you ever opened up your day timer and at the top saw the words, ‘One of these days?’” I thought, “WOW that’s heavy.” He then said, “How about right now?” Hoping to end this conversation I said, “I wouldn’t know where to start.” Wyland said, “Stand up,” which I did. He then took the chair and table from where we were sitting and dragged them out on to the lawn by the ocean. He went into my closet, picked out a hat and shirt and said, “Put these on, and sit there.” He then set up the table and went out to his car returning with his camera. He took this picture and said, "Okay, you have the cover, I am going to go home and write the foreword. All you have to do is start on chapter one." Wow, how do you get out of that?
